smmx format and include a link to SimpleMind Viewer. SimpleMind is a word-class and outstanding mind mapping solution that simplifies the process of structuring, analyzing, and presenting thoughts. Sharing your mind map with non SimpleMind users has never been so easy. The solution is a cross-platform mind map editor which means visual thinking can be performed on multiple device types, whether Windows PC, Mac computer, iPhone, iPad, or Android device. SimpleMind is comprised of basic features such as the ability to create branches of topics, edit topic texts, move topic around freely, rotate topics’ branches, and select multiple elements. The mind map editor also comes with advanced features which make it easier for users to visualize their thoughts and customize the appearance of their mind maps. It has a free form layout feature which allows users to organize their thoughts and arrange topics exactly the way they want. Moreover, SimpleMind can automatically arrange topics within a mind map. Notes, labels, and call-outs can be added to mind maps without making them look cluttered and messy. To enhance how thoughts are being organized and presented, SimpleMind makes it possible to include various types of media files in mind maps. Users can embed images inside the topics as well as add floating images around them. Organize Your Thoughts Into Hierarchical Branches Of Topics Video recordings and voice files can be attached to topics as well. SimpleMind uses a common yet powerful way of capturing and organizing thoughts. With this tool, users can create mind maps which are made up of branches of topics. These topics are arranged in a hierarchical structure which means there are parent topics and child topics. This is the starting point from which new topics can be developed.įacilitate Brainstorming By Creating Central Topics All of the topics are linked to an ultimate parent topic which is also known as the central theme or topic of a mind map. The mind map editor delivers a feature which is ideal for conducting brainstorming sessions. I’d much rather have an option to toggle this off so I can just write in the field where it already is.This feature is the capability to create as many central themes or topics as needed. The palm rejection in the app isn’t great, both these together have caused some frustration. That means I have to lift and move my hand to the center every time I want to write and then move the whole map back to the position I had it in. When I’m using the Apple Pencil on the iPad and enter a field to write into, it centers that field on the screen. There’s one really big problem for me though which I hope is fixed in a future update. I probably won’t use it on the computer but even if I did, the software is good, so I’d be okay with the cost. I think I did read that you purchase it per platform though, so if I want to use it on my laptop I would have to buy that version. It took me way too long just to find one that I could just buy with a one time cost.
